The design journey can be complex, so following is a simplified outline of what to expect:
01 – Initial Contact
Begin by completing the online contact form. Once received, we’ll arrange our first design meeting.
02 – Design Meeting & Fee Proposal
Initial Design Meeting & Fee Proposal During this crucial stage, we delve into your project aspirations, discussing your vision, budget, and timeframe. Based on our discussion, we provide a clear overview of the process, detailing whether it involves obtaining Development Approval through council before proceeding to Building Approvals with a private certifier. While any additional materials you can provide, such as existing plans or site surveys, are helpful at the initial meeting, they are not crucial at this stage. Following this discussion, you’ll receive a comprehensive fee proposal outlining the scope of work.
03 – Concept Phase
Together, we embark on the creative journey. If required, a registered surveyor will prepare a site survey to gather vital site information for the design process. Concept plans are then crafted to visually represent your project. Your feedback is crucial during this phase to ensure alignment with your vision and budget. These plans can also be used for initial quotations from builders of your choice.
04 – Development Approval
For projects requiring Development Approval, plans will be meticulously prepared for submission to the relevant authorities. Throughout this stage, I oversee the entire process within the planning system, providing all necessary documentation and handling correspondence to secure approval.
My direct involvement ensures a seamless process and optimal outcomes.
05 – Building Approval/Construction
Once Development Approval is obtained, our focus shifts to preparing documentation for the building approval and construction phase. This process includes ensuring all aspects of the project comply with the National Construction Code (NCC) and all other relevant building codes and regulations, and integrating necessary consultant documentation into the architectural plans. Our goal is to provide your chosen builder with a comprehensive set of documents to ensure a smooth construction process.
